Jered is Director and Managing Attorney of the environmental section of Southern California Edison’s (SCE) law department. Jered leads a team providing advice and counsel on environmental matters related to SCE’s operations, including climate, clean air and water, hazardous waste, hydroelectric facility licensing, and environmental permitting, among other environmental matters. Jered previously served as the Principal Manager of Air & Climate Policy at SCE where he led a team responsible for the utility’s regulatory and legislative policy concerning air quality, climate change, and transportation electrification. Prior to joining SCE, Jered was a trial attorney for the Environment & Natural Resources Division of the U.S. Department of Justice and a judicial clerk at the Nuclear Regulatory Commission for the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board Panel. Jered earned his Bachelor of Science degree in biology from UC San Diego and his Juris Doctor from Georgetown University.
