Firewise Regional Coordinator, Mono and Inyo Counties
Beth Burnam, a native Angeleno, connected with TreePeople in high school. She received her BA from Vassar College and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Beth’s previous roles include working as a financial analyst and a management consultant.
Since the 90’s, she has focused on volunteering with education and environmental organizations. She has served as Treasurer of a parent organization, on the Board of Trustees of an independent K-12 school, and on the President’s Advisory Council and Board of Trustees of a liberal arts college.
Beth was a founding member and co-President of the North Topanga Canyon Fire Safe Council and helped create the Topanga Firewise Community. She currently serves on the Board of the Resource Conservation District of the Santa Monica Mountains, TreePeople, and TreePeople Land Trust. She mentors communities in Los Angeles, Ventura, Mono and Inyo counties, leveraging her expertise in community organizing and wildfire preparedness. She is also the Firewise USA Regional Coordinator for Mono and Inyo counties.
