If you spent any time with us at Coldwater Canyon Park recently, you probably felt it too: that undeniable buzz of energy when our community gets together. Whether you were volunteering with us at a Park Work Day, laughing under the canopy during your morning hike, or cheering us on from afar, we just want to say thank you!
Volunteers, longtime donors, neighbors, and new friends– you are the heartbeat of our movement. Seeing everyone together reminds us of something beautiful: the shade we enjoy today is because someone cared enough to plant a tree decades ago.
That got us thinking about the future. How do we keep this green momentum going for the next 50 years? The following 100?

Leave a Piece of Your Legacy in Coldwater Canyon Park
If you’ve walked our trails, you’ve probably noticed the beautiful, hand-carved benches and glimmering, bronze tree plaques along the way. That is part of our Legacy Grove.
This program was built on a transformational bequest from Jean Aubuchon Cinader, our late Board Member, who was a great friend to our planet and advocate for environmental resilience. Jean’s gift remains the root of our Legacy Grove which now acts as a living space dedicated to the stories of our community.
Whether you want to honor a loved one, celebrate a milestone, or leave a message of hope for future park-goers, a physical dedication is a beautiful way to anchor your story to the park. Plus, every dedication directly funds the care of our 45-acre canyon home as well as expanding Los Angeles’ urban and forest canopy.
