This Earth Month, our corporate partners showed up in meaningful and inspiring ways. Nearly 300 volunteers rolled up their sleeves at Teams for Trees events across Los Angeles, hundreds more attended our Lunch & Learns to learn about their local environment, and partners opened doors by inviting us to conferences and panels throughout the month of April.

One highlight was when one of our newest partners, Seed Health, utilized a Teams for Trees event to bring together employees who typically work remotely. Nothing breaks the ice between co-workers like caring for your local parks. Seed Health employees volunteered at our Kenneth Hahn site, and it was inspiring to see folks who may have worked together for months finally meeting in person and using the power of nature to connect.

TreePeople was also invited to lead an activity at DreamWorks Animation’s annual Bring Your Kids to Work Day, where we engaged more than 200 youth through education and a hands-on project. Kids painted pots and assembled seed packets to take home, giving them a tangible way to plant native species and stay connected to the experience beyond the day.

Venkata Rao Oruganti, a volunteer with Farmers Insurance who helped restore our Tuna Canyon site alongside other employees during Earth Month, spoke about the impact this work will have for generations to come: “May every plant we care about today safeguard the site’s restoration and bring healing to both nature and humanity.”

Our corporate partners’ support goes far beyond participation; it directly fuels our ability to bring TreePeople’s mission to life by caring for the environment and strengthening the communities we serve. We love seeing teams step outside their offices, break down barriers, and connect with one another in a shared purpose—getting their hands in the soil, breathing fresh air, and making a tangible impact in their local community.
There are so many ways for companies to engage with TreePeople. Whether it’s hosting a private corporate volunteer event, or organizing a fundraiser, we truly appreciate our Corporate Partners and all they do to support our work.
