TreePeople’s Summer Series Debuts with a Bang!

The 13th season of TreePeople’s beloved “Once Upon a Canyon Night” summer series premiered last week with happy park goers ready for a night of fun under the stars.

The debut evening opened with a collection of talented, hilarious and profound female poets who made us laugh, cry and feel everything in between. The women joined us from our friends at the Actors Conservatory Ensemble to gift the audience a beautiful, memorable night.

Later that weekend, we had a full house at the amphitheater for comics Amir K and Maz Jobrani, who also brought us to tears—of laughter. The NPR regular and author of “I’m Not a Terrorist, but I Play One on TV,” brought his best set for a very special night of achy bellies and side splitting fun.

There’s still time to catch a show this season! This weekend, we’re hosting a live reading of “The Rainmaker”—a play set in a time of a paralyzing drought. (Sound familiar?)
