TreePeople and the US Forest Service are gearing up for our third season restoring areas within the Angeles National Forest that were devastated by the historic Station Fire of 2009. This is one of the largest volunteer efforts on National Forest land in the United States, and you can help by learning to supervise and educate some of the thousands of volunteers who will plant 15,000 seedlings in the spring 2013 season.

Become a leader and join our team as a Restoration Supervisor by signing up to attend an Angeles Restoration Supervisor Training on December 8th, January 5th or February 9th. There you’ll learn everything you’ll need to know to guide and support others in the Angeles–and get a special T-shirt and nametag!

Without the work of our supervisors, we would not be able to safely accommodate large groups of volunteers nor plant with the high success rates we’ve achieved over past planting seasons. Trained Restoration Supervisors play a critical role in restoring the Angeles forest.

Restoration Supervisors help:                                                  

– Teach volunteers how to plant native seedlings.
– Lead teams of volunteers as they restore the forest’s beauty.
– Make sure tools are being used properly and safely.
– Ensure everyone has a great time!
