Forestry

Restoring ecosystems, planting trees, and expanding Southern California’s canopy to create a more climate-resilient future.

TreePeople’s forestry program provides communities with the tools, plants, and education necessary to make Southern California’s urban and mountain canopies greener, healthier, and more climate-resilient. We host thousands of volunteers each year to plant and care for our environment.

TreePeople’s Forestry program plants everywhere from our mountains to our city streets to our schools. The Community Forestry program offers opportunities to create green neighborhoods and provide the crucial shade we will need to combat the effects of climate change. The Mountain Forestry program trains and mobilizes community members to increase biodiversity, improve watershed health, and increase the climate and fire-resilience of our SoCal mountains.
